WHAT IS DELIRIOUS?: Delirious? is an English Christian Rock and modern worship band. Delirious? started in 1992 under the name "Cutting Edge Band" and were a collection of musicians who got together to be a Christian worship band for a youth outreach event called "Cutting Edge" that was started by the Arun Community Church in Littlehampton, West Sussex UK. They then changed their name to Delirious? once they decided to be a full time band around 1996. Delirious? decided to disband in 2009.
WHO ARE THE MEMBERS: For the majority of their career, the lineup featured (as seen above from left to right) Martin Smith on vocals and guitar, Stu G (full name Stuart Garrard) on guitar and backing vocals, Stew Smith on drums and percussion, Tim Jupp on keys and piano, and Jon Thatcher on bass guitar. During their final two years, drumming duties were assumed by Paul Evans.
WHY A DELIRIOUS? ZONE?
Why? Because Delirious? is the greatest Christian worship band of all time. It is kind of my Obsession. They have written some of the greatest worship songs ever, and they take you DEEPER. With songs that move and inspire, and bring us closer to the Majesty of God. They have been an accessible band that have been on the edge of mainstream and Christian music introducing many, who might not normally hear, the good news of the Grace Like A River that is Jesus. And Stu G is the best guitar player that I have heard playing music that is about MY GLORIOUS Jesus. Because they were willing to Stare The Monster Down and Break the Silence and dance upon injustice. Delirious? music is about being a HISTORY MAKER full of purpose and passion and meaning, and it makes MY Soul Sing with true value. And best of all they Solid ROCK! And I like to play them LOUDER THAN THE RADIO and Feel The Mountains Tremble.
